Constantine was eliminated from "American Idol" last night. I hate this stupid show. I will no longer watch and I hope their ratings go in the toilet.

Exploding Toads Puzzle German Scientists 'It Looks Like a Scene From a Science-Fiction Movie'
BERLIN (April 27) - More than 1,000 toads have puffed up and exploded in a Hamburg pond in recent weeks, and scientists still have no explanation for what's causing the combustion, an official said Wednesday.
AFP/Getty Images Toads like this one at a Hanover zoo have been swelling up and popping at one pond in Germany. Both the pond's water and body parts of the toads have been tested, but scientists have been unable to find a bacteria or virus that would cause the toads to swell up and pop, said Janne Kloepper, of the Hamburg-based Institute for Hygiene and the Environment.
''It's absolutely strange,'' she said. ''We have a really unique story here in Hamburg. This phenomenon really doesn't seem to have appeared anywhere before.''
The toads at a pond in the upscale neighborhood of Altona have been blowing up since the beginning of the month, filling up like balloons until theirstomachs suddenly burst.
''It looks like a scene from a science-fiction movie,'' Werner Schmolnik, the head of a local environment group, told the Hamburger Abendblatt daily.
Have not yet written about the new Pope. As a Catholic, I was excited to watch all the spectacle and spirituality surrounding the death of John Paul II and the selection of Pope Benedict XI. As a woman and a liberal, I am upset that once again, we have a conservative Pope who opposes women's ordination, birth control and is opposed to accepting gays into the Church. Oh and that he was in the Hitler Youth as a young man. Even though he says he was forced to join. Hmmm.
Well, he is 78. And at least he is from another country, not just Italy. One of these days we will get a Pope from Africa or Brazil.
I have Lean Cuisine at home in the freezer.
Yet, I crave a cheesesteak.
Sigh.
I completed a coupla things on my to-do list this month so I was less crabby.
But now I am back to being crabby. I have to write this really huge plea to keep my job. And then I am moving. In a week. And I have not yet started to pack. Oh joy.
This is certainly NOT going to help me convince my Mom that she and I need to take a cruise...

Of COURSE I am watching this season. Need you even ask?
I can not stand Scott. He looks like a dumpling with glasses and about as pasty.
I totally LOVE Constantine. Yes I do. He is singing to ME. He wants to have sex with ME. I know it. His eyes tell me!!!!
I must say I am sad at the news that the Pope died today. I got home late last night and stayed up for a bit watching the coverage on television. If anything, it got Terri Schiavo's sad story off cable. Thank God. Literally.
Like many Catholics, I am far more liberal than what the Church teaches and the Pope preached. But here is why I think he was a good man:
* He helped bring about the fall of Communism in Eastern Europe and Russia
* He apologized for the mistakes of the Catholic Church during the Holocaust
* He loved children
* He opposed the war in Iraq and told President Bush so
* He spoke out about hunger, poverty and war
I hope he went straight to heaven.
